Dachshund Race

Year after year the Dachshund Race at the North Albany Oktoberfest draws a large crowd of participants and spectators. It may be seen as the cutest event, but don’t let these furry friends fool you – there are some fierce competitors in the line-up!

Compete on a straight, 3-lane grass track in a bracket-style competition for bragging (and wagging) rights. Will anybody be able to knock off the reigning champ? Or will the champ prove to be victorious and remain the alpha dog at Woof’s Biergarten?

There’s only one way to find out… Come watch the race at Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 28, 2019! *Races begin at approximately 1:00pm and lasts approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.*

Every pup will receive a special race bandana, as well as a ‘doggie bag’ of goodies! Final winners will receive an engraved Wiener Dog Trophy for Win, Place, and Show. The owners get an Oktoberfest Gift Basket.
